After much discussion, Lindsay and I have decided: our parents should be buying us cards and taking us out for delicious dinners, and distant relatives should be sending us money and sweet notes, and in general all congratulatory, life-acheivement acknowledgements and celebrations should happen upon completion and survival of the first year post-college.
